Discriminating characters are mostly the color and the sharpnes of the edges.
The flat surfaces on the repro are grainy whereas the real tanks are very smooth.



Repro on the right and real on the left. The hole around the big peg on the base is a little ratty on the repros.
The tab which inserts into the base is wider and does not slide in without applying some force. Again, the flat surfaces on the repro are grainy whereas the real tanks are very smooth.



The originals have a waterslide decal vs. a sticker.
The repro was cast with the decal still attached, so the outline of the decal is still visible.
This is a guaranteed indicator of a repro set.
