Comments:

The Custom Eldorado was based on the 1967 Cadillac Eldorado two-door coupe.

1977 Cadillac Eldorado

The 1967 Eldorado was unlike any previous Cadillac, not only that it had front-wheel drive, but it had style and attitude. And no other Cadillac had ever
looked like the hidden headlight, aggressively modern '67 Eldorado either! Credit GM designer Bill Mitchell for the truly gorgeous, almost arrogant '67 "Eldo".

1968 Custom Eldorado: US (L) : Hong Kong (R)

The body castings of the two versions of the Custom Eldorados are largely indistinguishable from the side. All Custom Eldorados have bearing type wheels.

1968 Custom Eldorado: US (L) : Hong Kong (R)

The shape of the cowl area behind the hood is slightly different. The blue glass of the HK casting is evident.
All colors of the Custom Eldorado came with a flat black painted roof simulating the vinyl roof of the actual car.

The flat black grille section on the US casting is part of the body casting, whereas on the HK version, it is part of the base casting.

1968 Custom Eldorado: US (L) : Hong Kong (R)

Differences at the rear of the two versions is not very significant.

1968 Custom Eldorado: US (L) : Hong Kong (R)

The US version of the interior features a steering wheel which is molded as part of the dashboard.
The Hong Kong version has separate steering wheel and lacks a dashboard.
In general, the color of the interior does not greatly impact the value of the Custom Eldorado.

1968 Custom Eldorado: US (L) : Hong Kong (R)

The engines compartments of the two are similar however, the gap in the Hong Kong version at the front is due to the grille being part of the base casting.

1968 Custom Eldorado: US (L) : Hong Kong (R)

The absence of mechanical detail on the US version is typical. Three variations in the text on the US base are known but do not affect the value of the car.
The HK casting includes the typical suspension holes and more detail.
