1977
1977 was the end of the red line era. The transition occurred during the year such that all of the 1977 models can be found with "black wall" wheels. Those
that crossed into the black wall era are known are known as the "transitional" castings. Some of the transitionals are harder to find in black wall than redlines!
The Super Chromes series also debuted that year, utilizing all older castings. Super Chrome line also continued into the Black Wall era.
