Discussion:
The Mod Quad, designed by Howard Rees, was released in 1970 continuing the tradition of "in-house" designed concept cars started in 1969.
Mod Quad
The single seater Mod Quad features a opening cockpit cover between the set of four transversely mounted V8 engines.
All Mod Quads are shoed with medium-size cap-style wheels front and rear.
Mod Quad Opening Canopy
The Mod Quad was made in the USA and in Hong Kong. The two version of the body casting are indistinguishable, however there are slight differences on the base.
Mod Quad : Front and Rear
Both the US or Hong Kong versions have detail paint on tail lights.
Mod Quad Interior
The US version of the Mod Quad features clear windscreen glass and a black interior. The Hong Kong versions have blue-tinted windscreens and brown interior.
US vs. HK Base
The US version has an additional alignment peg in the rear not seen on the Hong Kong base.
The Hong Kong has crush protection nubs added at all four wheels.
