Discussion:
The Mercedes Benz C-111 is based on the actual concept car built by Mercedes Benz in 1969.
Only 6 examples were built. The first featured a fiberglass body and a Wankel rotary engine.
Actual Mercedes Benz C111
The gull wing doors are distinctive and were a feature of the Hot Wheels version, released in 1972.
Spectraflame Mercedes Benz C111
One of the last of the spectraflame mdels, the C111 is fairly hard to find in good condition.
Base Variations: 1972 - 1973 - 1974 - 1976
The C111 casting was used from 1972 through the end of the redline era and into the blackwall era.
