Comments:
As one of the 10 castings in the Shell promotion, the 1973 Ferrari 512S is the based on the 1972 casting of the same name.

As part of the retooling for the 1973 Shell Promo series, the wheels were converted to "through hole" style and the base was retooled
to add crush protectors to the rear wheels. The body casting remained unchanged, but the black trim paint on the louvers was omitted.
Shell Promo Ferrari 512S in Baggie
The normal packaging for the Shell promotion was a single car in a clear plastic baggie with a blue stapled header card.
