As one of the 10 castings in the Shell promotion, the 1973 Splittin' Image is the based on the 1969 casting of the same name.

The canopies have been blacked out so that the interior could be omitted to reduce cost. No other changes to the casting are noted.

The base was modified to accommodate the changed to "through hole" style wheels, adding crush protectors in the rear and anti-rub "nibs" to the front and rear.
Note that the spin locations changed.
